MILWAUKEE — It seems like first baseman Frank Schwindel can do no wrong. In fact, he’s doing everything right for the Cubs.
Schwindel continued his ridiculous start to his Cubs’ career in Friday’s 8-5 loss to the Brewers. The Cubs’ offense had another strong start against Brewers starter Adrian Houser, scoring four runs in the third inning.
But it was Schwindel’s big swing in the fifth inning that stood out. The Cubs’ first baseman hit a deep drive to left field that just snuck over the wall for a solo homer that at the time gave the Cubs a 5-3 lead.
