Four years ago Wednesday, the course of the Cubs franchise was changed forever.

That's because on July 12, 2013, some guy named Kris Bryant signed his first deal with the Cubs for a $6.7 million signing bonus.

He also was at Wrigley Field taking batting practice for the first time at the Friendly Confines as then-Cubs manager Dale Sveum threw to him:
