Cristian Javier, Bryan Abreu, Rafael Montero and Ryan Pressley of the Astros combined to no-hit the Phillies in Game 4 of the World Series Wednesday in Philadelphia. The four Houston pitchers issued three walks and struck out 14.
It was the second no-hitter in World Series history. You’re certainly familiar with the other, Don Larsen’s perfect game in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series against the Dodgers.
The other postseason no-hitter was also thrown in Philadelphia, by Roy Halladay of the Phillies, in Game 1 of a division series against the Reds in 2010.
