Former Mets third baseman David Wright: 'I hate Wrigley Field'

Wrigley Field is as iconic as any ballpark in Major League Baseball. From the historic scoreboard and marquee to the ivy-patterned outfield walls to the vibrant day-game atmosphere featuring 40,000 fans in the stands, it can't be beat.

Well, unless you ask former Mets All-Star third baseman David Wright. In an interview with SNY, the Mets' television partner, Wright said he hates Wrigley Field.

Before Cubs fans pick up their pitchforks and torches, it's worth hearing Wright's explanation.

My favorite city probably in the summertime would be Chicago, but I hate — and this is probably against all sorts of baseball religion — but I hate Wrigley Field.
