The Cubs announced the passing of outfielder Larry Biittner on their official Twitter account this afternoon. He was 75 years old.
We mourn the loss of Larry Biittner, who spent 5 years in the #Cubs organization during a 14-year MLB career.

This wasn’t a good deal for the Cubs, as Thornton went on to a fine career, mostly with Cleveland.
