Favorite Cubs Games of 2018: Cubs use back-to-back home runs to walk-off Diamondbacks

It was a 1:20 game on July 26 at Wrigley Field. The Cubs hosted the Diamondbacks, with Tyler Chatwood taking the mound for the Cubs and Zack Godley for Arizona. It was Anthony Rizzo’s 1,000th career MLB game. He would celebrate in style.

A Kyle Schwarber RBI single put the Cubs on top 1-0 in the second inning, but former Cub Alex Avila hit a two-run home run in the top of the fourth, making it 2-1 through four. Tyler Chatwood’s control problems would get the best of him in the fifth, however.
