Kyle Hendricks looked to have his stuff until the third time through the batting order on Friday night. With the Cubs holding on to a 2-0 lead, the Milwaukee Brewers scored 4 times on two home runs (only the second time in Hendricks career giving up multiple home runs in one inning) to take the lead. That lead lasted a whole half inning when the Cubs came back to score 2 runs in the top of the 5th to tie the game at four. It remained that score until the bottom of the 9th when the Brewers were able to push across the winning run on Cubs pitcher Mike Montgomery (following Kris Bryant’s second error of the game).
