ESPN announced Friday that the Cubs game in Washington against the Nationals Sunday, May 19 has been added to its slate of games for the Sunday Night Baseball franchise.
That will make three consecutive Sunday nights for the Cubs, as they will play on SNB Sunday, May 5 against the Cardinals at Wrigley Field and also Sunday, May 12 against the Brewers at Wrigley.
Generally, teams are limited to five appearances per season on SNB by the terms of the national network TV contracts with MLB, and they had previously been scheduled to appear there Sunday, June 16 vs.
