Theo Epstein, the guy who once left Fenway Park in a gorilla costume and presided over the Red Sox’s beer and fried chicken fiasco of 2011, knows a little bit about drama at the ballpark.
But right now at Wrigley Field, the sun is shining, the construction is ongoing and the hopes are higher than ever.
After Tuesday’s 4-3 loss the Cardinals, the Cubs still lead baseball with a 47-21 record, highlighted by a cartoonish plus-169 run differential. There’s not much to fret about for Epstein these days.
“You can always find things to worry about and stress out about if you want to,” he said.
