Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez hits 14th longball of season, a three-run homer in South Bend’s 11-10 extra innings walk-off win over West Michigan
A day after being named the Midwest League’s Most Valuable Player and Prospect of the Year, Eloy Jimenez launched his 14th homer of the season, his second longball in as many games, and came through in South Bend’s extra innings win over West Michigan.
Jimenez went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI on Wednesday night at Four Winds Field. Jimenez delivered the big hit in the five-run fourth inning, a three-run homer with two down that put the SB Cubs up 8-2.
