David Bote had to exit Sunday's game against the Giants after getting hit on the helmet by a pitch from Giants starter Madison Bumgarner.
Bote was just hit in the back of the helmet (at least that's what it sounded like) on an 0-2 pitch from Bumgarner. He's down on one knee being checked out. Now walks off the field with trainer Matt Johnson and Maddon.

Bote was evaluated by a Giants doctor before heading back to the Cubs facility. He will be evaluated overnight, though he appears to have avoided a major injury.
