Every year the Chicago Cubs make the playoffs, the media (both print and television) pull out the same old worn out stories about “curses” and failures. Usually everything is all about the billygoat and the incident in game six from 2003. I have not heard much of that this postseason yet, but I am sure once the series begins they will once again start with the same old played out garbage they always do.
This year though, things will likely be worse. This year they are playing the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series which is going to bring on even more old stories, which you know people are going to be tripping over themselves to bring up.
