Cubs’ Tyler Chatwood scratched from start vs. Brewers with mid-back tightness

Right-hander Tyler Chatwood was scratched from his start on Friday against the Brewers with mid-back tightness. The Cubs say he’s considered day-to-day. Right-hander Alec Mills will make the start in his place.

Chatwood has been a bright spot for the Cubs this season and has pitched some of the best baseball not only in his time in Chicago, but in his career.

The Cubs’ right-hander allowed just one earned run over his first two starts before a rough start against Kansas City in his most recent outing where he allowed eight earned runs on 11 hits in 2 1/3 innings.
