Cubs tally 3 runs, 3 doubles in 5th inning

CHICAGO -- The Cubs have reached double digits in scoring in their past four games, but it wasn't until the fifth inning on Tuesday that they finally tallied runs against the Tigers' Michael Fulmer.

Trailing 3-0, pinch-hitter Tommy La Stella -- batting for Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks -- doubled to open the inning and scored on Albert Almora Jr.'s opposite-field double to right. Jason Heyward followed with another opposite-field double, this time to left, to drive in Almora.
