Kyle Schwarber is off to a heck of a start in his professional career.
The 22-year-old was named the Cubs minor league player of the month for May after hitting .297/.443/.582 in the month with eight homers, 18 runs and 17 RBI in 28 games.
Schwarber led the entire Cubs system in homers, walks, slugging percentage and OPS for the month and paced the Southern League in walks while also finishing second in homers, third in OPS and OBP and fourth in slugging.
