MIAMI -- Kyle Schwarber's weight loss isn't affecting his power.
The Cubs' outfielder belted his second home run in his third game, crushing a 3-1 pitch from the Marlins' Odrisamer Despaigne (an 85.8-mph cutter) into the right-field upper deck in the second inning on Saturday.
According to Statcast™, the ball had an exit velocity of 111 mph and traveled 407 feet. Schwarber's first homer on Thursday in the season opener registered at 406 feet.
The 25-year-old slugger dropped more than 20 pounds this offseason to improve his quickness in the outfield.
