It’s not quite at the Dexter Fowler level, but the Cubs have facilitated a spring training reunion with an outfielder who had a very positive impact for them last season. On the eve of full-squad workouts, they have agreed to a minors deal with veteran outfielder Cameron Maybin.

A journeyman who has played for nine teams over 10 seasons, Maybin isn’t necessarily a difference-maker in the field or at the plate at this point.
