Cubs sign outfielder Lane Adams to minor league contract
The Cubs announced Wednesday the team signed outfielder Lane Adams to a minor league contract. Adams was assigned to Double-A Tennessee and replaced Bijan Rademacher after his promotion to Triple-A Iowa.
Adams was not placed on Double-A Tennessee’s active roster Wednesday and did not play in the Smokies 7-6 victory over the Barons.
The Royals selected Adams in the 13th round of the 2009 draft. Adams made his big league debut on Sept.
