CHICAGO -- The Cubs placed left-handed reliever Brian Duensing on the 10-day disabled list with left shoulder fatigue prior to Sunday's series finale vs. the Twins at Wrigley Field and recalled right-hander Dillon Maples from Triple-A Iowa.
Duensing has struggled in recent outings, allowing 15 earned runs over 6 1/3 innings in his last seven appearances. He pitched one inning in the Cubs' 14-9 win over the Twins on Saturday and gave up two runs on two hits and two walks.
