LOS ANGELES – The Cubs are seeking a second opinion on the results of Justin Steele’s MRI of his left elbow, manager Craig Counsell revealed Friday.
“We’re dealing with the same thing we dealt with last year,” Counsell said. “And for that reason, Justin wants to make sure, and we want to make sure, that we’ve got the right information moving forward.”
On the 15-day injured list with what the team on Wednesday called tendinitis in his left elbow, this is the second time in as many months of regular season action that Steele has been on the IL with the same injury.
