Kris Bryant’s 2018 season has been ruined by a shoulder injury that he suffered while diving for a ball in the field. It’s his non-throwing shoulder, even so, it might require surgery in the offseason.
Now, though, things appear to be recovered enough with the shoulder that Bryant has been placed back on the Cubs’ active roster, as today is roster expansion day!
Bryant is hitting .276/.380/.474 (84-for-304) with 11 home runs in 76 games. Really, considering the injury, that’s not bad at all. Hopefully he gives the offense a boost over the final 28 games.
