David Bote’s wife Rachel gave birth to the couple’s third child recently and as such, Bote will miss a few games while on the paternity list:
Cubs report at 5 CT on ESPN 1000 today from Wrigley. Looks like the Cubs are bringing Randy Rosario back up for David Bote who’s on paternity leave. Need lefties v Dodgers.

Players on the paternity list can miss a maximum of three games, so Bote should be back on Friday.
There had been speculation that a position player would be added to replace Bote, but there aren't any on the 40-man roster who aren't also already on the 25-man roster.
