Cubs reliever Mark Leiter Jr. hit the 15-day injured list June 23 with what was termed a right forearm strain.
Today was the first day Leiter was eligible to return, and now he’s back:

Leiter was pitching quite well until late May, when he got lit up a couple of times by the Cardinals and Brewers. He recovered to have several good outings, then got hit hard again in a few games in June, mostly by the Rays and Giants.
