After trying to tough out a wrist/finger injury for a few days, Kris Bryant went on the injured list Saturday. The placement was too late to add someone to the active roster for Saturday’s game, but the Cubs have now made that corresponding roster move.
Ian Miller, a lefthanded-hitting outfielder, has been added to the Cubs’ active 28-man roster from the alternate team site in South Bend. He’s also been added to the 40-man roster, as he had not previously been on that list. To make room for Miller on the 40-man, righthanded pitcher James Norwood has been transferred from the 10-day injured list to the 45-day injured list.
