Cubs roster move: David Bote recalled, Nick Madrigal optioned

I've been advocating for David Bote to replace Nick Madrigal on the Cubs 26-man active roster, and today it happened:

-David Bote selected from Iowa, Nick Madrigal optioned to Iowa, Adbert Alzolay moved to 60-day IL to make room for Bote on 40-man roster.

Bote is batting .259/.342/.546 with seven home runs in 28 games and 108 at-bats at Triple-A Iowa this year. He's not likely to do anything spectacular, but he's got to be a better third baseman than Madrigal who is batting just .
