Cubs outfielder Cody Bellinger was hit on his left hand by a pitch during Wednesday night’s game against the Orioles [VIDEO].
Bellinger wound up leaving the game and afterwards, he and the team were waiting for imaging results.
Today, the team placed Bellinger on the 10-day injured list with a left middle finger fracture and recalled outfielder Alexander Canario from Triple-A Iowa. The timing of this IL placement, part of which is the All-Star break, means that Bellinger could return as soon as the home series vs. the Diamondbacks after the break.
