The Chicago Cubs announced on Friday morning that left-handed pitcher Brian Duensing has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with left should inflammation. In a corresponding move, left-handed pitcher Randy Rosario has been recalled from the Triple-A Iowa Cubs.
Duensing has appeared in 43 games for the Cubs this season and has a 3-0 record as well as a save. Currently he has a 7.34 ERA mostly due to a rough 13.75 ERA over his last 20 appearances. He started the season remarkably well with a 0.54 RA through May 27th.
