Anthony Bass has been a fairly effective reliever on the so-called Iowa Shuttle, but now he'll spend some time on the disabled list:
James Norwood is a righthanded reliever who was the Cubs' seventh-round pick in 2014 out of St. Louis University.
This year in 29 appearances combined between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa, Norwood has posted a 2.13 ERA and 1.053 WHIP, with 44 strikeouts in 38 innings.
Norwood will also be added to the 40-man roster, which now stands at 38.
