ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Chicago Cubs rookie third baseman Kris Bryant returned to the starting lineup for Friday's game at St. Louis, a day after experiencing flu-like symptoms.
Bryant, who is hitting .278 with 10 homers and 42 RBI, left Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers after two innings.
Cubs leadoff hitter Dexter Fowler also returned to the starting lineup after missing three games because of a sore ankle sustained while running the bases on Monday against the Dodgers.
Fowler is hitting .238 with eight home runs and 22 RBI.
