Cubs Reportedly Sign Reliever Brad Brach to One-Year Contract with a Mutual Option for 2020

According to multiple reports, the Cubs have finally added a reliever to the mix. The Cubs and veteran right-hander Brad Brach have agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract. The deal is believed to include a mutual option for 2020. The team has not announced a deal is in place with Brad Brach.

Brach will be paid a guaranteed $4.35 million according to Ken Rosenthal. Brach has a base salary of $3 million for the upcoming season. The contract reportedly includes a $1.35 million buyout on the mutual option for the 2020 season.
