Most of the Cubs headlines centered on the coaching staff, but it was a busy afternoon in the minors. Between reports from Baseball America and The Cub Reporter, the Cubs struck while the iron was hot and re-signed eight of their own MiLB free agents.
Remaining in the organization will be Corey Black, Charcer Burks, Roberto Caro, Oscar De La Cruz, Luke Hagerty, Erick Castillo, Luis Lugo, and Jhonny Pereda. None of this is particularly shocking, but there are so many moving parts in the minors this time of year that it can be difficult to follow everything.
