CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs placed backup catcher David Ross on the seven-day concussion disabled list and selected the contract of catcher Taylor Teagarden from Triple-A Iowa before Saturday night's game with the Miami Marlins.

Ross took two foul balls off the mask in Wednesday's game in New York and began experiencing symptoms Thursday.
