Minor League Baseball and Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. announced Monday Minor League Baseball’s recipients of the 2015 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards.
Cubs’ prospect outfielder Trey Martin won the Gold Glove for his excellence in center field. Martin started the season with Low-A South Bend and spent a majority of the year with High-A Myrtle Beach. Martin did not make an error in 105 games and 266 total chances in the outfield and had five assists.
Martin will receive a Rawlings Gold Glove Award, modeled after the award given to Major League Baseball’s top defensive players, during the 2016 season.
