The Chicago Cubs have called up Ian Happ ahead of their crucial series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Happ was optioned to Iowa following spring training and took awhile to find his strike, but he has been on a tear lately after figuring things out. In July, the super-utility player has hit .324 with a remarkable 18.7% walk rate and a 20.9% strikeout rate.

And Happ’s reduction in strikeouts has come without sacrificing power, which is no small feat.
