The Cubs announced report dates for pitchers and catchers and the full squad Thursday.
The pitcher/catcher report date is Tuesday, February 12 and the first pitcher/catcher workout date will be the next day, Wednesday, February 13. The first full-squad workout will be Monday, February 18, just five days before the first spring-training game against the Brewers at Sloan Park, Saturday, February 23.
And so, it won’t be too long until we see scenes like the one above, pitchers involved in fielding drills on the back fields at the Cubs spring complex in Mesa, Arizona.
