The Cubs have once again made a roster move to reconfigure the pitching staff, showing they will continue to be (moderately) aggressive and proactive with their pitching depth. According to the team’s transaction page, they have optioned lefty reliever Luke Little back to Triple-A Ioaw. Little made his season debut Wednesday, walking four batters in and allowing one run in two-thirds of an inning.
Little’s issues have stemmed from his lack of command, so his recent performance was par for the course. He was successful in Iowa and will look to adjust some things before trying again in Chicago.
