Joe Maddon has had the opportunity to manage some pretty impressive arms in his starting rotation over his career. From David Price to James Shields, Alex Cobb, Chris Archer, Matt Moore and more, there are many who have had brilliant seasons under his watch. But one through five, he may be watching the best group of all with these 2016 Cubs.
“It’s pretty good. I don’t think I have (had a better group),” Maddon said. “I’ve seen some pretty good starting pitching, but this is really, really good. Each one goes out there and you feel pretty good about them getting pretty deep into the game.
