Cubs NLCS Game 1 notes: How well did the Cubs hit Matt Harvey?

NEW YORK -- The Chicago Cubs insist they hit New York Mets starter Matt Harvey better than the results would indicate in their 4-2 Game 1 loss in the NLCS on Saturday night.

They managed just four hits off the righty while walking twice and striking out nine times. There were also a couple of line-drive outs, as Harvey used his offspeed pitches early in the game.

“It was a little surprising,” Kyle Schwarber said afterwards. “I know he has a really good fastball and he just kind of whipped out the off speed right away.
