Minor League Baseball announced its player and pitcher of the week honors Monday, and LHP Eric Jokisch was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week (Aug. 24-30).
Eric Jokisch was 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA and 0.69 WHIP. Jokisch allowed one run on six hits with three walks and six strikeouts over 13 innings to Fresno and Sacramento. Jokisch pitched his first complete game (seven innings) his last time out against the River Cats on Aug. 29.
This is Eric Jokisch’s third weekly honor. Eric Jokisch was the Florida State Pitcher of the Week (May 7-13, 2012) when he was with the Daytona Cubs.
