Cubs land lefty Little with 27th overall pick

After stocking up on position players over the last five years, the Cubs turned their attention to pitching and selected left-hander Brendon Little with the 27th pick in the MLB Draft on Monday.

Little -- the 36th-ranked Draft prospect according to MLB.com -- was originally drafted by the Giants in the 36th round in 2015, but instead opted to go to the University of North Carolina before transferring to the State Junior College of Florida in search of a bigger role and the flexibility to turn to the Majors after his sophomore year. Little posted a 2.
