Cubs historical sleuthing: Mets edition

Al Yellon created Bleed Cubbie Blue and has been its managing editor since 2005. He's also written three books about the Cubs, the latest is "Chicago Cubs Firsts."

Here we have Mets third baseman Ray Knight catching a foul popup, nearly running over his teammate, catcher Mike Fitzgerald.

It’s obviously a game against the Cubs, because you can see Cubs uniforms in the dugout. In fact, Dennis Eckersley is clearly visible, just to the left of where Knight’s right hand is:

At first glance you might not think there are many clues here, but those two players and the Cubs dugout are enough.
