The Chicago Cubs today announced that both Jason Motte and Jorge Soler would be missing time due to injury today.
The time frame for Soler is not good, he is expected to miss a month, perhaps the rest of the season if things don’t go perfectly for him. While the length Motte might miss is not known, I cannot believe that he will be back quickly either.
Add in that Addison Russell left last night with a groin injury which will keep him out for at least a game or two, the Cubs are in some trouble.
