There were more bright spots for the affiliates at midweek as Eugene set a franchise record thanks to 2016 draftees Tyson Miller and Sam Tidaback. Trevor Clifton showed that his Carolina League Pitcher of the Year Award was justified, and South Bend broke their losing streak on the efforts of Ryan Kellogg. Chris Coghlan had a big night in Iowa and the AZL Cubs closed out the regular season with Kwan-Min Kwon heating up.
