NASHVILLE – From the opposing side, Cubs utility player Christopher Morel made an impression on then-Brewers manager Craig Counsell.

“He’s put himself in a position where he needs to be in the lineup, he needs to be on the field,” Counsell, now at the helm for the Cubs, said this week at the winter meetings.
