The Cubs added another left-handed pitcher to the mix Friday, claiming Edgar Olmos off waivers from the Seattle Mariners.
Olmos - who has a sweet mustache - has appeared in 11 big-league games in his career, boasting a 7.20 ERA in 5 games (five innings) with the Miami Marlins in 2013) and a 4.50 ERA in six games (14 innings) with the Mariners in 2015. He has just six strikeouts in 19 MLB innings.
In the minors, Olmos has put up a 4.44 ERA in 199 games (73 starts) since being selected by the Marlins in the third round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
