Cubs celebrate holiday season with Christmas tree lighting ceremony

The Cubs celebrated the beginning of the holiday season on Thursday by hosting their annual tree-lighting ceremony and toy drive outside of the Cubs Store near Wrigley Field.

More than 100 members of the community came out to watch the ceremony, which included a special visit from Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins and Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts, who helped light the 28-foot tree.

Fans brought unwrapped toys to place under the tree, with all donations benefiting the Children's Home and Aid Society.
