Chris Denorfia made Major League Baseball history Monday night.
Denorfia sent the Cubs home winners with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning against the Royals, breaking a scoreless tie.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first time a pinch-hitter ended a 1-0 extra-inning game with a homer.
It's also the first time since 1936 that the Cubs have had multiple 1-0 extra-inning victories in a season, and Denorfia had the walk off RBI in both (credit: CSN stat guru Chris Kamka):

Denorfia's homer was only the Cubs' fourth hit of the night, extending their lead over the rest of the league with victories this season in games where they recorded four or fewer hits:
