MILWAUKEE -- The Cubs, keen on adding another starting pitcher, have acquired right-hander Dan Haren from the Marlins for two Minor Leaguers, a source tells MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.
The Cubs began the day in third place in the Wild Card race, and have had a revolving door in the fifth starter spot. Haren would provide some depth. He's 7-7 with a 3.42 ERA in 21 starts with the Marlins, striking out 88 over 129 innings.
He would join a rotation of Jon Lester, Jake Arrieta, Jason Hammel and Kyle Hendricks.
