CINCINNATI — Anthony Rizzo didn't win the fan vote, but the Cubs star will still be in the National League starting lineup for Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game.
Rizzo will hit sixth as the designated hitter while Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt — who was named as the starter by the fans — will man first base.
Here is the entire NL starting lineup:
Rizzo is making his second All-Star appearance after making his first last season. He is currently hitting .298 with 16 home runs, 48 RBIs, 45 walks and a .413 on-base percentage.
Rizzo will be the first Cub in an All-Star Game's starting lineup since 2008, when both Geovany Soto and Kosuke Fukudome started at Yankee Stadium.
