NEW YORK -- The Chicago Cubs set their NLCS roster on Saturday, adding outfielder Quintin Berry to replace injured shortstop Addison Russell.
The move is a little bit of a surprise as it leaves the Cubs with just one backup infielder, but Chris Coghlan has played some second and third base this season, so he can always move from the outfield to the infield in a pinch.
Berry is in a pinch-running specialist who has only been thrown out one time in his major league career. He’s not likely to see many -- if any -- at-bats or much time in the field.
